The
Cascadia English Country Dance Weekend
May 2-4, 2008

Robin Hayden The Schedule Registration About Fragance-Freeness

Join us for some great music and great dancing. The Cascadia Weekend is another opportunity, along with the Seattle English Ball, to dance and party and celebrate. English Country Dancers of all levels of experience are welcome. The weekend starts with a Friday English Country Dance. Then we'll have workshop/dances on Saturday, with a festive dance Saturday night.(Please "dress up" if you want!.) On Sunday we will have two more workshop/dances, with perhaps a sunny day and a picnic in the afternoon.

ROBIN HAYDENwill be joining us  this year. She teaches English country dancing in Amherst and Boston, MA.  Known for her lyrical dancing and dynamic teaching, she has participated in weekends, workshops and festivals across the United States and in the U.K. We have danced with her at Pinewoods, at Mendocino and at Monte Toyan in California.  She dances beautifully, knows how to help others dance beautifully, and more importantly, knows how to have fun and get everyone to have a great time.

Extra added attraction: To be announced.

And of course the MUSIC. Frankly, the reason we do this every year is to show off and enjoy the Northwest’s gift to the universe, our cast of great muscians. This year we hope to have Anita Anderson, Laurie Andres, Bob Archer, Dave Bartley, Charles Coldwell, Betsy Cooper, Liz Dreisbach, Sande Gillette, Claude Ginsburg, Gerard Hranek, Julie King, Susan Larkin, Fred Nussbaum, Kimberly McKittrick, Lynn Warschauer, Cathy Whitesides. These splendid musicians will be joined and coordinated by KIMBERLY MCKITTRICK..

The music, of course, will be amplified by none other than the Northwest’s gift to beautiful sound everywhere, WARREN ARGO .
